Title: DEAD hgroup tag > HTML5
Post by: k64 on 20 May 2020, 05:04:50 pm
I hand coded some pages in HTML5 w/ the <hgroup> Tag.. it was killed by the W3C!  I got <mad>, then <real-mad> went back to div & span tags. Then I got <real-happy> again.

Were you a WC3 Victim too?

Honestly the HGROUP tag was proof positive that the CLOWNS tho made HTML 5 were unfit and unqualified to make HTML 4 Strict's successor since apparently much like other ass-clowns in this industry -- like "framework" makers -- they didn't even understand what H1..H6 are, were for, or what they mean.

Since pairing headings together like that is utter and complete gibberish nonsense. All those times you see people grouping a H1 + h2 for a title and tagline? Ignorant incompetent inept GARBAGE created by people unqualified to write a single blasted line of HTML as they utterly and totally failed to grasp semantics and logical document structure.

It's as stupid as choosing your heading tags just because you want fonts in different weights and sizes, or for SEO abuse.
