The Zoo / Any dealings w/ SheerID.com? Pain in the ...
« on: 29 May 2020, 06:10:42 pm »
Anyone ever had any dealings w/ SheerID.com?

All I'm seeing so far is Delays & Excuses, Resubmit...Repeat, even from home/Lowes; all the while this ID Management & Marketing Company sells your info to shady third-parties. All this hassle for Military Discounts at Lowes, Bass Pro Shops and more.  At Lowes all that use to be needed was a Military ID... NOT any more! I'm helping my dad with this new digital enemy.

They clam to help leading brands "use a gated, exclusive offers" (SPAM You Mindless) "to capture and retain high-value customers" (Dystopian Propaganda Marketing) from lucrative segments such as students, teachers, and the military.

Art / Open Source Software
« on: 21 May 2020, 04:29:57 pm »
I was able to replace all my closed source software w/ Open Source including Windows7. Sure Linux is a little different, but I'm all right w/ that. Closed Source, like MS, Adobe and others are becoming FleeceWare Subscriptions and locking your files in the cloud like Adobe does. The next Windows is going to be subscription based like the enterprise edition is. Yes, those soft-mugger monthly fees just keeps increasing.  How much is too much for you? Adobe is already over $50 per month...

For Graphics: Inkscape, Krita, GIMP, RawTherapee
For WebDev: Bluefish
For FTP: FileZilla
For Office Suite: LibreOffice
For DTP: Scribus

This is the main software I use daily.

General Discussion / DEAD hgroup tag > HTML5
« on: 20 May 2020, 05:04:50 pm »
I hand coded some pages in HTML5 w/ the <hgroup> Tag.. it was killed by the W3C!  I got <mad>, then <real-mad> went back to div & span tags. Then I got <real-happy> again.

Were you a WC3 Victim too?

HTML / CSS / Sharing A Simple CSS Grid

Sharing A CSS Grid

The CSS
.row{clear:both;width:100%;display:block;margin:0 auto 0 auto;padding:0;vertical-align:top}
[class^="col"]{display:inline-block;position:relative;margin:0.5% 0.5% 0.5% 0.7%;padding:0.3%;vertical-align:top}

.col1{width:100%}
.col2{width:47.9%}
.col3{width:31%}
.col4{width:22.8%}
.col34{width:73%}
.col2s{width:45.5%!important;float:left}
.wauto{width:auto}
.w{width:94%}

ul.col{margin:0 auto 0 auto;position:relative;margin:0 1% 0 1%}

The HTML
<div class="row">Row Row Your Boat

<div class="col2">Down Columns</div>
<div class="col2">In The Steam</div>
</div>

What I'm looking to do is making it slimmer if possible?  It's responsive too, w/ the proper code.
