Anyone every hear of this...

https://www.grc.com/sqrl/sqrl.htm

The video on the page was done back in 2019 and their community forum has not grown.  So im thinking its probably something that failed in application or rejected by the public.

Bascally i see it as just using QR codes to log in.   Also no matter what we all do, either we have to remember out logins, use the forgot login option, or have some other software remember our login.

I do agree with him in the video that the worlds smart techs have made user authentication a total mess.

I see it as layers and layers of patch upon patch and BS ontop of BS so much that its mind bogeling to even work with anymore as a developer, or to even try to find a better way.

He also made fun of religion and GOD in his act but I'll bet before
he died he had a conversation with the man upstairs.

Also I would not be surprised to find out he actually did vote.  :)

Gambling is a rather foolish activity at the best of times.
You may take a deeper  look about the man's views here...

The Religion and Political Views of George Carlin

Personally, I have no doubt that you would have lost your money
on both of those assertions.

On his death...
Quote
His will stated that there was to be no funeral, religious or
otherwise, and that he wished only for his widow and
daughter to host a small gathering at his home for loved
ones to share their fun stories of him.

George Carlin doesn't vote

I really liked Carlins material but he was doing his job as a comedian.  He also made fun of religion and GOD in his act but ill bet before he died he had a conversation with the man upstairs.   Also i would not be surprised to find out he actually did vote.  :)

DS,  It is not that i cant debate this issue or whatever that BS was that you posted. It is that i do so on forums that make a difference.  In that regard this forum does nothing for the cause.  Sure i could return the volly but it serves no purpose here.

Choosing not to cast a ballot is my only way of demonstrating
my discontent with the UK electoral system.
I was very much of this mindset for a long time, but -- at least here in the colonies -- things have shifted.

When I was able to "not vote" as a means if dissent, I never once felt genuine malice from either side of the debate. As much as I didn't like Peanut, Ray Gun, Clean sober home with his wife, Slick Willie, Dubya, or even Hope I never once felt like they were truly malicious. I felt like on some level they all cared on some level about the American people even if I disagreed with their methods.

This really started to change about a decade ago as the white nationalist faith-tard movement oozed out from whatever rock they'd been hiding under since the early '70's. Racist, sexist, bigoted, paranoid, delusional, evangelical whackjobs of every stripe came crawling out of the woodwork empowered by their beloved demagogue.

It is no longer the case where I can sit back as an observer, and short of armed revolution the only option is to vote and to keep voting to keep these MAGA morons out of power. Donald Trump and his cast of idiots wants to sell us out to Russia, return to the ugliest of 1960's social mores, and implement a society where someone like me would be jailed or executed either for not believing in their bullshit sky wizard fairy tales, or because I'm "straight but flexible".

To be brutally frank, everything my Grandmother -- a member of the White Rose society -- warned me of is coming to pass. And if we don't beat them in the voting booth, these jackbooted "Christian America" assholes will do the same thing that happened in 1939.

I mean for frolicks sake, they've already had their beer putsch.

And before any of you Trumpers go "but the liberals are evil too" you're on the same side as the KKK, Skinheads, Proud Boys, and Westboro Baptist. But sure, liberals are the Nazi's when you are siding with LITERAL Nazis.

What was it Eisenhower said? "Those who say it can't happen here, want to lull you into a false sense of security so they can make it happen here."

I hope Trump is back in the White House soon

This may be an interesting and/or amusing read...

Be careful what you wish for

...or possibly not.

Hi there Jason,

I would like to point out that...

Quote
Is DT inflicted  with this potentially dangerous condition?

...was just a rhetorical question and asked for effect, rather
than from any actual desire to know the answer.

The following may or may not  explain where I am actually
coming from...

Those who vote give politicians credibility.

Choosing not to cast a ballot is my only way of demonstrating
my discontent with the UK electoral system.

I'm not apathetic – far from it.

I care deeply about the issues affecting me, people around the
world, and the planet itself. But that concern no longer extends
to voting.

The spectrum of modern politics doesn't seem to offer anything
and by voting for a party – be it established, a newcomer, or the
Monster Raving Loony Party – I am endorsing a system I don't
have faith in. A system that seems perennially rigged in favour
of interests that we the public are never entirely allowed to grasp,
full of people who have been shown time and again to have a set
of interests and ambitions far removed from our own. I am not
content to be "represented" by politicians I don't trust. And I
certainly don't want to vote "tactically" for a party I don't like, only
to sit back and watch them run rampant for the next five years.

So, I just smile benignly.

As someone said to me very recently, they are politically homeless.

But the problem is, if we do not go to the booths, they will very quickly say WHY are even having the booths and we will be under a proper dictator.

All political parties seem to have the same paymaster – and they have forgotten they are meant to work for us and its not us that work for them.
