Usability improvement for search and login modals
« on: 27 Jun 2020, 07:24:25 am »
When I click on Search or Login icon I have to click on the form field to write text.

It would be very nice to just type the text without having to click or press Tab a number of times. I think this feature is autofocus

Sadly becuase the modals are hash triggered, auto-focus wouldn't do anything. I could use :focus-within, but that would break the ability to close the modals.

I might toss a scripting assist in there though as you're right, it should at least TRY to do so. Even though being hash driven it should just be a single tab to get to the next element.
I'll fix every flaw, I'll break every law, I'll tear up the rulebook if that's what it takes. You will see, I will crush this cold machine.
