MESH WiFi

I have a few WiFi dead spots in my house so...

Would a MESH WiFi setup fix the issue? Also is a MESH setup majorly different to just using a powerline WiFi extended?

personally, I don't use WiFi but then
I am very old, as is my p.c. and router,
and I have no real need for it when I
move away from my desk.

You don't have to that. 

Instead you could save yourself a lot of money
and effort if you just stopped trying to use the
few WiFi dead spots in your house.
