The "Quote" placement is counterintuitive
« on: 29 Oct 2019, 08:42:08 am »
I don't expect it to be at the top of the post I want to quote. Granted everybody will get used to it after a couple tries, but I wonder if it should be placed at the bottom.

Yup, that's on the to-do list for the custom SMF 2.1 skin. Should be resolved when that is ready. No argument here.

I like SMF for how lean and fast it is -- again I've hosted forums on it with a shoestring budget that would kill most hosting plans costing ten times or more what I paid -- but the front-end has a lot of issues I need to fix, hence my taking the time to write a complete skin for the next version from scratch.

That takes around 200 man-hours labor, and I've got paying clients ahead of these forums in the queue. I only tossed it up on my hosting as quickly as I did because of codingForums last minute saying "we're closing for good TOMORROW".

I'll fix every flaw, I'll break every law, I'll tear up the rulebook if that's what it takes. You will see, I will crush this cold machine.
