The "Quote" placement is counterintuitive

I don't expect it to be at the top of the post I want to quote. Granted everybody will get used to it after a couple tries, but I wonder if it should be placed at the bottom.

Yup, that's on the to-do list for the custom SMF 2.1 skin. Should be resolved when that is ready. No argument here.

I like SMF for how lean and fast it is -- again I've hosted forums on it with a shoestring budget that would kill most hosting plans costing ten times or more what I paid -- but the front-end has a lot of issues I need to fix, hence my taking the time to write a complete skin for the next version from scratch.

That takes around 200 man-hours labor, and I've got paying clients ahead of these forums in the queue. I only tossed it up on my hosting as quickly as I did because of codingForums last minute saying "we're closing for good TOMORROW".
