Hey, welcome to the permaban club. I've been banned from there for near on a decade now.
I always found Sitepoint to be a den of suck-ups and sycophants. It's not about doing anything well, or cleaner, or better, and people who ACTUALLY try to help others get shouted down by staff members who have raging boners for their favorite pet techniques and frameworks, and flat out refuse to hear that anything they promote might be broken.
Hell, the post that threw it over the line for them was me telling Paul O'B that no, REM (at the time) didn't work in Firefox properly always reporting a 16px equivalent even when the system size and OS size was changed, unlike EM that worked properly.
Two months later I found that if you put font-size:1EM; on HTML, it fixed FF. Native fix didn't come until quantum.
Sadly I think that's a lot of what's killing forums. Used to be you could go these various places to get real help. Today everyone just says "copy from this framework". Often not the framework someone is already using, often not solving the problem, and the people who DO actually try and help all get banned, and people looking for real help just give up and walk away. They've made these bubbles of like-minded head bobbing "yes men" where you simply cannot go to get real help or voice anything that disagrees with their bullshit.
And it doesn't matter how politely or rudely you put it. Remember, I was banned from a forum just a year and a half ago for simply outlining what was wrong with someone's site. There was no profanity, no insults, but I dared to not just given them a pat on the back and tell them everything was fine when it clearly wasn't. THAT was what threw it over the line.
Hashnode, DEV, Sitepoint, Mos Eisley Spaceport... Hives of scum and villainy. The only difference between the first three and the last one is that they hide what utter dirtbags run these places behind a fake plastered on smile, a shower of platitudes, and claims that they're justified in behaving that way to be "family friendly" for "positive vibes only".
... and there's a term for that. "Toxic Positivity". It's a controlling manipulative way to try and convince people a waffle cone of shit is chocolate soft-serve. A means of painting any dissenter as the bad guy so that the scam artists and snake oil peddlers can ply their wares.
Worst of all, most people seem conditioned for it to be normal and acceptable, no matter how immoral, indecent, or just plain dumbass the stance being defended is.
