Not too worried about the throughput, I myself kind of had to take the past few days off to deal with other things.
Though all web development forums feel like ghost towns now; any serious discussion has been shot down so frequently and with such force, all that's left are greenhorns not getting answers, and know-nothing poseurs telling people to switch to whatever their favorite pet "scam of ignorance" is.
"Scams of ignorance" including such gems as frameworks, WYSIWYGS, "builders", etc.
It's almost half of why most of the really talented people I've known have all either met a premature end, or moved on to other fields. The other half of why they moved on being how many sleazy scam artists haven't just flooded this industry, but outright control the narrative now!
As to Twitter, it's a bit like texting. Machete don't text. I cannot understand how anyone finds anything on the platform useful, and whilst I think I have an account somewhere, I've likely not used it since I created it ages ago. Asking me to come up with a "tweet" is like asking someone who designs V12 engines for Caterpillers to make a air cooled 4 banger for a rear engine VW.
I have enough trouble with the "Engrish moist goodry me love you long time" found in normal posts, without the near gibberish nonsense to be found in the average tweet. There's a reason I refer to one of it's most prominent users as a orange cheeto-fingered half-tweet. That so much of what people post is just white noise -- like do I really care what someone I don't even know had for breakfast every flipping day?
I don't get it. I don't see the appeal, I don't see why people want it, and I sure as shine-ola don't want to use the platform myself. It's bad enough I put up with the accessibility "foxtrot yankee" that is facepuke JUST because certain people I know are on it, without adding an even more crippled scripting heavy disaster to the mix.
BUT, I recognize that it is useful to others and this forum is NOT about ME. If you would like to help with promoting the site on the social media platforms that I'm too much of a geezer (and word hound) to put up with, I'd welcome the help!
Besides, what do I know? I'm from the generation where people used to complain that a 32k post size limit on forums was too small. Every time someone goes "Aaah, wall of text" or "TLDR" I have to hold back the urge to insert a boot up someone's backside with enough force that an orthodontist would have to be the one to remove it.
